SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Maureen Ryan Zachary of Jacksonville, who passed away on March 31, 2012; and

WHEREAS, She was born on December 1, 1920 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Charles M. and Stella Flynn Ryan; she married William P. Zachary on August 17, 1946 in Jacksonville; and

WHEREAS, She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville; she graduated from Routt Catholic High School and later from Brown's Business College; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Charles Ryan and Eb Ryan; and her sister Jane Milligan; and

WHEREAS, Maureen Zachary is survived by her sons, William P. (wife,Peggy) Zachary, Jr., and Charles S. Zachary; her daughters, Rhoda (husband, Jim) Anthony, Herma Ellen Zachary, and Jane M. Zachary; her grandchildren, Amy (Lance) Zachary Reynolds, J. (Sara) Zachary Anthony, and Dallas (Sarah) C. Anthony and her great-grandchildren, Zachary and Stella Reynolds, Olivia Anthony, and Avery and Colton Anthony; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Maureen Zachary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Maureen Zachary as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
