SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jerry Hester of Peoria, who passed away on November 16, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Hester was born on July 2, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri to Elizabeth Frazier Robinson; he married Bonnie Slaughter on July 27, 1968; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Hester worked as a counselor for ERS; he was an avid bowler, participating in many bowling leagues; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Hester was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Frazier Robinson, and his grandparents; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Hester is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his son, Jerry (Simone) Hester II; his daughters, Lorry Saunders and Amie Hester; his brothers, Earl Maupins and Norvelle Maupins; his grandchildren, Jevon, Ashton, Breonna, Jordyn, Imani, and Jerry III; and a host of other family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jerry Hester, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerry Hester as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
