 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 524

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 524 as follows:

 3    on page 3,  line  27,  by  inserting  after  the  period  the
 4    following:
 5    "In  making  a  determination  whether to confine a person 17
 6    years of age or older who has a petition of delinquency filed
 7    against the person, these factors, among other matters, shall
 8    be considered:
 9        (A)  The age of the person;
10        (B)  Any previous delinquent or criminal history  of  the
11    person;
12        (C)  Any previous abuse or neglect history of the person;
13    and
14        (D)  Any  mental  health  or  educational  history of the
15    person, or both.".
