 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2279

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  2279  on  page  1,
 3    line  5,  by replacing "Section 3-31.1" with "Sections 3-31.1
 4    and 5-2"; and

 5    on page 1,  immediately  below  line  14,  by  inserting  the
 6    following:

 7        "(110 ILCS 805/5-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 105-2)
 8        Sec.  5-2.  Definitions.  As used in this Article, unless
 9    the context otherwise requires:;
10        "Building purposes" means the preparation of  preliminary
11    drawings  and  sketches, working drawings and specifications,
12    erection,  building   acquiring,   altering,   improving   or
13    expanding  college  facilities,  including the acquisition of
14    land therefor, and the inspection and supervision thereof, to
15    be used exclusively for community colleges.
16        "Facilities" means  classroom  buildings  and  equipment,
17    related structures and utilities necessary or appropriate for
18    the  uses  of  a community college, but not including land or
19    buildings intended primarily for staff housing,  dormitories,
20    or  for  athletic  exhibitions,  contests  or games for which
21    admission charges are to be made to the general public.
