 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2356

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2356 as follows:

 3    on page  1,  by  replacing  lines  16  through  25  with  the
 4    following:

 5        ""Gun  show"  means  the  entire premises provided for an
 6    event or function, including but not limited to parking areas
 7    for the event or function, that is sponsored  to  facilitate,
 8    in  whole  or in part, the purchase, sale, offer for sale, or
 9    collection of firearms at which:
10             (1)  25 or more firearms are  offered  or  exhibited
11        for sale, transfer, or exchange; or
12             (2)  not less than 3 gun show vendors exhibit, sell,
13        offer for sale, transfer, or exchange firearms.
14        "Gun  show  promoter"  means  a  person  who organizes or
15    operates a gun show.
16        "Gun show vendor" means any person who  exhibits,  sells,
17    offers  for  sale, transfers, or exchanges, any firearms at a
18    gun show, regardless of whether the person  arranges  with  a
19    gun show promoter for a fixed location from which to exhibit,
20    sell, offer for sale, transfer, or exchange any firearm.
21        (c)  The  Department of State Police shall adopt rules to
22    carry out the provisions of this Section.".
