 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2378

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2378 on page 45  by
 3    replacing lines 7 through 14 with the following:

 4        "Section 155.  Inapplicability of Act.
 5        (a)  This  Act does not apply to a consumer credit report
 6    that by its terms  is  limited  to  disclosures  from  public
 7    records  relating  to land and land titles and does not apply
 8    to a person whose records and files are  maintained  for  the
 9    primary  purpose  of  reporting  those portions of the public
10    records that impart constructive  notice  under  the  law  of
11    matters relating to land and land titles.
12        (b)  This  Act  does  not  apply  to  any  bank,  banking
13    association,  trust  company,  savings bank, savings and loan
14    association, or credit  union,  or  any  subsidiary  thereof,
15    authorized  to do business under the laws of this State or of
16    the United States.".
