 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3493

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3493 as follows:

 3    on page 1, line 13, by inserting "(a)" after "."; and

 4    on page 1, by inserting below line 20, the following:
 5        "(b) In addition to the  fine  imposed  under  subsection
 6    (a),  the  court  shall  assess  a  $5  fine upon each person
 7    convicted of a violation  of  Section  401  of  this  Act  by
 8    manufacturing    methamphetamine    or    by   possessing   a
 9    methamphetamine manufacturing chemical or  a  methamphetamine
10    precursor with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. The
11    proceeds   of   the   fine   shall   be  deposited  into  the
12    Methamphetamine Manufacturing Facility Cleanup Fund.".
