 1                     AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 24

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill  24  by  replacing
 3    the title with the following:
 4        "AN ACT concerning transmitters of money."; and

 5    by  replacing  everything  after the enacting clause with the
 6    following:

 7        "Section 5.  The Transmitters of Money Act is amended  by
 8    changing Section 10 as follows:

 9        (205 ILCS 657/10)
10        Sec.  10.  License  required.  A No person may not engage
11    in this State in the business of selling or  issuing  payment
12    instruments,   transmitting   money,   or   exchanging,   for
13    compensation,  payment  instruments  or  money  of the United
14    States government or a foreign government to or from money of
15    another government without first obtaining  a  license  under
16    this  Act.  Separate licenses shall not be required, however,
17    for persons acting as authorized sellers of  licensees  under
18    this Act.
