 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 392

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 392, by  replacing
 3    lines  23  through 31 on page 1 and line 1 on page 2 with the
 4    following:
 5        "(c)  $2,250,000 shall be transferred each month  to  the
 6    Grade  Crossing  Protection  Fund  to be used as follows: not
 7    less than $6,000,000 each fiscal year shall be used  for  the
 8    construction   or   reconstruction   of  rail  highway  grade
 9    separation structures; beginning with fiscal  year  1997  and
10    ending in fiscal year 2000, $1,500,000, beginning with fiscal
11    year  2001  and  ending in fiscal year 2004 2003, $2,250,000,
12    and $750,000 in fiscal year 2005 2004 and  each  fiscal  year
13    thereafter   shall   be  transferred  to  the  Transportation
14    Regulatory Fund and shall be accounted for as".
