 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 404

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 404 on page 1,  by
 3    replacing lines 19 and 20 with the following:

 4        "For  purposes of this Act, personal information does not
 5    include any of the following:
 6             (1)  Public records as defined by Section 2  of  the
 7        Freedom of Information Act.
 8             (2)  Court records.
 9             (3)  Information   found   in   publicly   available
10        sources,  including  newspapers, magazines, and telephone
11        directories.
12             (4)  Any other information  that  is  not  known  to
13        concern a child."; and

14    on  page  1,  line  24,  after "concerning", by inserting "an
15    individual known to be"; and

16    on page  2,  by  replacing  lines  19  through  31  with  the
17    following:

18    "and  Deceptive  Business  Practices  Act. This Act, however,
19    shall not be considered or construed to provide  any  private
20    right of action."; and

21    by deleting all of page 3.
