 1        AN ACT concerning animals.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Domesticated Wild Animals Act is  amended
 5    by changing Section 1 as follows:

 6        (510 ILCS 60/1) (from Ch. 8, par. 24)
 7        Sec. 1. Ownership when raised, domesticated, or enclosed.
 8    All  birds  and  animals  ferae  naturae  or  naturally wild,
 9    including fur bearing animals not native to this State,  when
10    raised or in domestication, or kept in enclosures and reduced
11    to possession, are hereby declared to be objects of ownership
12    and  absolute  title,  the same as cattle and other property,
13    and shall receive the same protection of law, and in the same
14    way and to the same extent shall be the subject  of  trespass
15    or theft, as other personal property.
