1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 977
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 977 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
5 Section 5.595 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 105/5.595 new)
7 Sec. 5.595. The Illinois Professional Golfers
8 Association Foundation Junior Golf Fund.
9 Section 10. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
10 adding Section 3-663 as follows:
11 (625 ILCS 5/3-663 new)
12 Sec. 3-663. Illinois Professional Golfers Association
13 Foundation Junior Golf license plates.
14 (a) The Secretary, upon receipt of all applicable fees
15 and applications made in the form prescribed by the
16 Secretary, may issue special registration plates designated
17 as Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation
18 Junior Golf license plates.
19 The special plates issued under this Section shall be
20 affixed only to passenger vehicles of the first division or

1 motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than
2 8,000 pounds.
3 Plates issued under this Section shall expire according
4 to the multi-year procedure established by Section 3-414.1 of
5 this Code.
6 (b) The design and color of the special plates shall be
7 wholly within the discretion of the Secretary. Appropriate
8 documentation, as determined by the Secretary, shall
9 accompany each application.
10 (c) An applicant for the special plate shall be charged
11 a $40 fee for original issuance in addition to the
12 appropriate registration fee. Of this fee, $25 shall be
13 deposited into the Illinois Professional Golfers Association
14 Foundation Junior Golf Fund and $15 shall be deposited into
15 the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund, to be used
16 by the Secretary to help defray the administrative processing
17 costs.
18 For each registration renewal period, a $40 fee, in
19 addition to the appropriate registration fee, shall be
20 charged. Of this fee, $38 shall be deposited into the
21 Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation Junior
22 Golf Fund and $2 shall be deposited into the Secretary of
23 State Special License Plate Fund.
24 (d) The Illinois Professional Golfers Association
25 Foundation Junior Golf Fund is created as a special fund in
26 the State treasury. All moneys in the Illinois Professional
27 Golfers Association Foundation Junior Golf Fund shall be
28 paid, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly and
29 approval by the Secretary, as grants to the Illinois
30 Professional Golfers Association Foundation to help
31 Association members expose Illinois youngsters to the game of
32 golf.
33 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
