 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1066

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1066  on  page  2,
 3    line 8, after the period, by inserting the following:
 4    "The solicitation letter from the Department must be sized so
 5    as to fit into the utility's standard bill envelope, and must
 6    be  of  sufficiently  light  weight  so  as  not to cause any
 7    increase in postage cost to the utility."; and

 8    on page 2, line 15,  before  the  period,  by  inserting  the
 9    following:
10    ", except that the Department may use up to 10% of the moneys
11    donated  for  the Fund for the expenses of the Department and
12    the local area agency incurred in  administering  the  Fund";
13    and

14    on  page  2,  line  27,  after  the  period, by inserting the
15    following:
16    "The Department shall ensure that moneys donated for the Fund
17    (other  than  moneys  used  for  administrative  expenses  as
18    authorized in  Section  25)  are  distributed  to  low-income
19    consumers  who  reside  in the county from which those moneys
20    were received.".
