1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1332
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1332, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment
4 No. 2, on page 8, line 33, by deleting "The terms of the 9
5 members"; and
6 on page 9, by replacing lines 1 through 7 with the following:
7 "The State Board shall consist of 15 voting members,"; and
8 on page 10, line 9, by deleting "consecutive"; and
9 on page 10, by replacing lines 15 through 17 with the
10 following:
11 "Of those members initially appointed by the Governor
12 under this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly, 3
13 shall serve for terms expiring July 1, 2004, 3 shall serve
14 for terms expiring July 1, 2005, and 3 shall serve for terms
15 expiring July 1, 2006. Thereafter,as voting members, each
16 appointed member shall hold office for a term of 3 years,:
17 provided, that any member appointed to fill a vacancy"; and
18 by replacing line 34 on page 10 and lines 1 through 7 on page
19 11 with the following:
20 "of residence. A member of the State Board who experiences a
21 significant financial hardship due to the loss of income on
22 days of attendance at meetings or while otherwise engaged in
