 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1373

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1373 on page 1, by
 3    replacing line 5 with the following:
 4    "Sections 9-230 and 16-55 as follows:"; and

 5    on page  1,  by  replacing  lines  12  through  21  with  the
 6    following:
 7    "assessments.  The  township  or  multi-township assessors in
 8    counties with 500,000  or  more  but  no  more  than  700,000
 9    inhabitants  shall,  on  or  before  before October 15 of the
10    assessment year, return the assessment books or workbooks  to
11    the supervisor of assessments. The township or multi-township
12    assessors  in  counties with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants,
13    but more than  700,000  600,000  inhabitants,  shall,  on  or
14    before  November  15  of  the  assessment  year,  return  the
15    assessment   books   or   workbooks   to  the  supervisor  of
