 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1785

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1785 by  replacing
 3    lines  31  through 34 on page 9 and lines 1 through 8 on page
 4    10 with the following:

 5        "(2)  Persons present. The  investigator  conducting  the
 6    examination   shall   exclude   from   the  place  where  the
 7    examination is held all persons except the person giving  the
 8    testimony,  the  attorney for and any other representative of
 9    the person giving the testimony, the attorney for the  State,
10    any  person  who  may  be agreed upon by the attorney for the
11    State and the person giving the testimony, the officer before
12    whom the testimony is  to  be  taken,  and  any  stenographer
13    taking such testimony."; and

14    on  page  10,  by  replacing  lines  12  through  14 with the
15    following:

16    "taken in the county within which  such  person  resides,  is
17    found,  or  transacts business, or in such other place as may
18    be".
