AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2547

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2547 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 5 with the following:
4 "changing Sections 402 and 1502.1 as follows:
 
5     (820 ILCS 405/402)  (from Ch. 48, par. 402)
6     Sec. 402. Reduced weekly benefits. Each eligible
7 individual who is unemployed in any week, as defined in Section
8 239, shall be paid, with respect to such week, a benefit in an
9 amount equal to his weekly benefit amount (plus dependents'
10 allowances) less that part of wages (if any) payable to him
11 with respect to such week which is in excess of 50% of his
12 weekly benefit amount, provided that such benefit for any
13 benefit week shall be reduced by: (1) the amount of any holiday
14 pay which the individual is entitled to receive, and receives,
15 for any workday in such week, and (2) the amount of any
16 vacation wages allocated to such week by the individual's
17 employer pursuant to Section 610 of this Act, and (3) one-fifth
18 of the weekly benefit amount for each normal workday during
19 which such individual is unable to work or unavailable for
20 work, and provided, further, that this subsection shall not be
21 construed so as to effect any change in the status of part-time
22 workers as defined in Section 407. Such benefit, if not a
23 multiple of $1, shall be computed to the next higher multiple
24 of $1. Benefits payable to an individual for any week shall not
25 be reduced pursuant to this Section by any amount of

1 remuneration paid to the individual with respect to that week
2 for non-active duty training and services as a member of the
3 Illinois National Guard or the Armed Forces Reserve.
