1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3186
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3186 on page 3,
3 line 16 by inserting after "female." the following:
4 "The terms "because of sex" or "on the basis of sex" include,
5 but are not limited to, because of pregnancy, the perception of
6 pregnancy, childbirth, or pregnancy-related conditions.
7 Persons with those conditions shall be treated the same for all
8 employment-related purposes, including receipt of benefits
9 under fringe benefit programs, as other persons not so affected
10 by those conditions who are similar in their ability or
11 inability to work.".
