1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Richard A.
4 Lage of Aurora who passed away on January 19, 2003 at the age
5 of 72; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Lage was born February 24, 1930 in Aurora to
7 Ray and Evelyn Lage; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Lage was involved in the cement contracting
9 business for most of his life and was the owner of Ray Lage
10 Curb and Gutter Contractors Co.; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Lage was a member of the St. Olaf Lutheran
12 Church in Montgomery, and the Loyal order of Moose Lodge 400
13 in Aurora; he loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Lage's passing will be deeply felt by many,
15 especially his loving wife of 50 years, Elsie (Johnson) Lage;
16 his two sons, Alan (Michelle) Lage and Greg (Martha) Lage;
17 his five grandchildren, Clarita, Bridget, Scott, Daniel, and
18 Stephanie; his brother, Charles (Evelyn) Lage; his
19 sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law and their spouses;
20 his several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and his many
21 friends; and
22 WHEREAS, Mr. Lage was preceded in death by his parents;
23 and his aunts and uncles; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
26 Richard A. Lage and extend our sincere condolences to his
27 family and friends; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to the family of Richard A. Lage as an expression
30 of our deepest sympathy.
