 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to learn of the death of Dorothy J.
 4    Lane of Chatham on May 23, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Ms. Lane was born on June 14, 1930 in  Equality,
 6    the daughter of Wayne and Viola Martin Stalk; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Lane was a membership coordinator for the
 8    Illinois Veterans of Foreign Wars for 23 years and  a  member
 9    of the VFW Post 1379 Ladies Auxillary in Jacksonville; and

10        WHEREAS, Mrs. Lane's passing will be deeply felt by many,
11    especially  her  two  daughters,  Brenda  Gordon  and  Connie
12    (husband,  Bob)  Migalich;  her  three  grandchildren,  Tonya
13    Migalich,  and  Cal  and Zach Spoor; her sister, Wilma Kelty;
14    her brothers, James  (wife,  Henrietta)  Sisk  and  Nathaniel
15    "Muck"  (wife,  Yonna)  Sisk; and several nieces and nephews;
16    and

17        WHEREAS, Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her  parents;
18    an  infant  son, Thomas Lane; and her granddaughter, Courtney
19    Spoor; therefore, be it

20        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
21    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
22    Dorothy  J.  Lane  and  extend our sincere condolences to her
23    family and friends; and be it further

24        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
25    presented  to  the family of Dorothy J. Lane as an expression
26    of our deepest sympathy.
