| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Delia Marie Johnson on June | 4 |
| 1, 2004; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson was born on July 10, 1965 to Mr. | 6 |
| Lamar Rozier Sr. and Sandra Rozier; she attended All Saints | 7 |
| Catholic School and graduated from Lindbloom High School; she | 8 |
| received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and a master's | 9 |
| degree in health education in 1990, both from Western Illinois | 10 |
| University; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson had been a member of Salem Baptist | 12 |
| Church of Chicago since 1990; she was also a member of Delta | 13 |
| Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and was a soror of Senator Kimberly | 14 |
| A. Lightford; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Delia Marie Johnson has been deeply | 16 |
| felt by many, especially her husband, Arnold Johnson; her | 17 |
| parents, Lamar and Sandra Rozier Sr.; her children, Jarrayl, | 18 |
| Julian, and Diamond; and her siblings, Lamar Jr., Rhonda | 19 |
| Wrencher, and Andrea Rozier; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL | 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 22 |
| Delia Marie Johnson, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her | 23 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 24 |
| further
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 26 |
| presented to the family of Delia Marie Johnson as an expression | 27 |
| of our sincerest condolences during their time of bereavement.
