1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 227
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 227, on page 5, line
3 23, by replacing "employee" with "member"; and

4 on page 5, immediately below line 27, by inserting the
5 following:
6 "This subsection (p) applies without regard to whether the
7 person was in service on or after the effective date of this
8 amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly. In the case of a
9 person who is receiving a retirement annuity on that effective
10 date, the increase, if any, shall begin to accrue on the first
11 annuity payment date following receipt by the System of the
12 contributions required under this subsection (p).".
