| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 395, AS AMENDED, |

| with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. |

| 1, on page 1, by replacing lines 19 and 20 with the following: |

| "Research Fund; and shall determine the ratio of amounts |
| 6 |
| contributed per checkoff fund to the total amounts collected |
| 7 |
| for all checkoff funds in that year. |
| 8 |
| Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, |
| 9 |
| from amounts contributed to each checkoff fund, the Department |
| 10 |
| must deduct an amount equal to that fund's pro rata share of |
| 11 |
| the administrative and printing expenses incurred by the |
| 12 |
| Department for the administration of the income tax checkoff |
| 13 |
| program. The amounts deducted may be used by the Department |
| 14 |
| only for those administrative and printing costs. The amounts |
| 15 |
| deducted shall not reduce the total contributions for the |
| 16 |
| purpose of determining whether the contributions to the fund |
| 17 |
| have met the $100,000 requirement under Section 509. |

| The Department must notify the State Comptroller and the |
| 19 |
| State Treasurer of the amounts, after the deduction for |
| 20 |
| administrative and printing costs, to be transferred from the".
