AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1368

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1368 on page 1, line

16, after the period, by inserting the following:

"This Section does not apply to any municipality that created a 
5
department of public safety before January 1, 1998.
 
6
    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
7
