725 ILCS 5/107-5   from Ch. 38, par. 107-5

    Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning method of arrest.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
5 amended by changing Section 107-5 as follows:
 
6     (725 ILCS 5/107-5)  (from Ch. 38, par. 107-5)
7     Sec. 107-5. Method of arrest.
8     (a) An arrest is made by an actual restraint of the the
9 person or by his submission to custody.
10     (b) An arrest may be made on any day and at any time of the
11 day or night.
12     (c) An arrest may be made anywhere within the jurisdiction
13 of this State.
14     (d) All necessary and reasonable force may be used to
15 effect an entry into any building or property or part thereof
16 to make an authorized arrest.
