AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4406

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4406 as follows:

on page 1, lines 7 through 9, by replacing "For his or her first year of full-time attendance at an institution of higher learning, a" with "A"; and

on page 1, line 9, by replacing "$1,000 grant" with "renewable $1,000 grant for each year he or she is enrolled full-time at an institution of higher learning"; and

on page 1, line 11, after "if", by inserting ", at the time of initial application for the grant,"; and

on page 1, line 16, by replacing "3.0" with "2.7"; and

on page 1, line 22, after the period, by inserting the following: "The Commission may adopt any rules necessary to carry out its responsibilities under this Section.".
