AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4799

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4799 on page 1, by replacing lines 7 through 13 with the following:

"Sec. 356z.8. Multiple sclerosis; physical therapy. A group or individual policy of accident and health insurance or managed care plan amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly must provide coverage for medically necessary physical therapy as defined by a prescribing physician for insureds diagnosed with multiple sclerosis to achieve and preserve optimal functional status or to reduce the rate of deterioration of the medical condition or body part due to the disease.".
