1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4835
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4835 on page 5, line
3 35, after the period, by inserting "Local authorities desiring
4 the establishment of an automated railroad crossing
5 enforcement system must initiate the process by enacting a
6 local ordinance requesting the creation of such a system. After
7 the ordinance has been enacted, and before any additional steps
8 toward the establishment of the system are undertaken, the
9 local authorities, the Commission, and the Department must
10 agree to a plan for obtaining, from any combination of federal,
11 State, and local funding sources, the moneys required for the
12 purchase and installation of any necessary equipment.".
