1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5216
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5216 on page 2, by
3 inserting immediately below line 35, the following:
4 "(g) A motor vehicle seized under this Section may not be
5 sold until the person whose motor vehicle was used in the
6 commission of the offense of stalking or aggravated stalking is
7 convicted of that offense. If the person is found not guilty of
8 the offense of stalking or aggravated stalking or the charges
9 are dismissed against that person, the motor vehicle shall be
10 returned to the person entitled to possession of the seized
11 vehicle and the law enforcement department or agency that
12 seized the vehicle shall pay the storage costs for the vehicle
13 during the period of seizure.".
