1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 15
2     AMENDMENT NO. ___. Amend House Joint Resolution 15 on page
3 2, immediately below line 23, by inserting the following:

4     "RESOLVED, That those portions of Interstate Routes 270
5 west, 55 north, 70 east, and 55/70 south that extend a distance
6 of 2 miles from the city of Troy be collectively designated the
7 Paul Simon Freeway; and be it further

8     RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation
9 is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with
10 State rules and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or
11 signs giving notice of these names; and be it further"; and

12 on page 2, by replacing lines 25 and 26 with the following:
13 "presented to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of
14 Transportation, the Secretary of the Illinois Department of
15 Transportation, and the family of Senator Paul Simon.".
