| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the | 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with regret of the death in Iraq of | 4 |
| Lance Corporal Adam W. Kaiser of Naperville on Thursday, | 5 |
| December 1, 2005; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Kaiser was assigned to the 2nd | 7 |
| Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine | 8 |
| Expeditionary Force, out of Twentynine Palms, California; the | 9 |
| unit was attached to the Regimental Combat Team 8, which is | 10 |
| part of the II Marine Expeditionary Force base at Camp Lejeune, | 11 |
| North Carolina; his regiment was nicknamed the "War Dogs"; and
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Since the age of three, he had wanted to be a | 13 |
| Marine when he grew up; he always enjoyed watching programs on | 14 |
| military history, which sharpened his drive and goal to join | 15 |
| the U.S. Marines; to aid him in his effort, he ran and | 16 |
| practiced Tae Kwon Do, earning a black belt; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, He graduated from Naperville Central High School | 18 |
| in 2004, enlisting shortly thereafter; he served as a rifleman | 19 |
| and was deployed to Iraq in July; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, His awards include the National Defense Service | 21 |
| Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the War on | 22 |
| Terrorism Service Medal; and
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Lance Corporal Kaiser has been | 24 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Wade and | 25 |
| Christine; his sister, Sarah; and his twin sister, Amanda; | 26 |
| therefore, be it
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 28 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 29 |
| we mourn the passing of Lance Corporal Adam W. Kaiser, and we |

| extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all | 2 |
| who knew and loved him; and be it further | 3 |
| RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Lance Corporal Kaiser | 4 |
| and his willingness to serve his country, which led to him | 5 |
| making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 7 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest | 8 |
| sympathy.
