SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/2-3.137 new

Amends the School Code. Requires the State Board of Education, in collaboration with regional offices of education, to develop additional improvements to and streamlining and refinement of the teacher certification process.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 2-3.137 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/2-3.137 new)

Sec. 2-3.137. Improvement of teacher certification process. The State Board of Education, in collaboration with regional offices of education, shall develop additional improvements to and streamlining and refinement of the teacher certification process.
