AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1662

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1662 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4     "Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is
5 amended by changing Section 20-85 as follows:
 
6     (5 ILCS 430/20-85)
7     Sec. 20-85. Quarterly reports by Executive Inspector
8 General. Each Executive Inspector General shall submit
9 quarterly reports to the appropriate executive branch
10 constitutional officer and the Executive Ethics Commission, on
11 dates determined by the Executive Ethics Commission,
12 indicating:
13         (1) the number of allegations received since the date
14     of the last report;
15         (2) the number of investigations initiated since the
16     date of the last report;
17         (3) the number of investigations concluded since the
18     date of the last report;
19         (4) the number of investigations pending as of the
20     reporting date;
21         (5) the number of complaints forwarded to the Attorney
22     General since the date of the last report; and
23         (6) the number of actions filed with the Executive
24     Ethics Commission since the date of the last report and the

1     number of actions pending before the Executive Ethics
2     Commission as of the reporting date; .
3         (7) any instances since the last report date of
4     non-compliance with the requirements of Section 5-5 for the
5     adoption and implementation of personnel policies by those
6     entities required to adopt and implement the policies;
7         (8) any instances since the last report date of
8     non-compliance with the requirements of Section 5-10 for
9     the conduct and implementation of ethics training by those
10     entities required to conduct or implement ethics training;
11     and
12         (9) any instances since the last report date of
13     non-compliance with the restrictions established in
14     Section 5-20 on public service announcements and
15     promotional materials.

17     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18 becoming law.".
