AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2292

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2292 on page 25,
3 line 23, by replacing "the effective date of this Act" with
4 "January 1, 2008"; and
 
5 on page 25, line 28, by replacing "Act" with "Act."; and
 
6 on page 26, immediately below line 13, by inserting the
7 following:
 
8     "Section 903. The Regulatory Sunset Act is amended by
9 changing Section 4.18 as follows:
 
10     (5 ILCS 80/4.18)
11     Sec. 4.18. Acts repealed January 1, 2008. The following
12 Acts are repealed on January 1, 2008:
13     The Acupuncture Practice Act.
14     The Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act.
15     The Home Medical Equipment and Services Provider License
16 Act.
17     The Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act.
18     The Illinois Petroleum Education and Marketing Act.
19     The Illinois Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
20 Practice Act.
21     The Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act.
22     The Nursing Home Administrators Licensing and Disciplinary

2     The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987.
3     The Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
4     The Podiatric Medical Practice Act of 1987.
5     The Interpreters for the Deaf Act.
6 (Source: P.A. 91-357, eff. 7-29-99; 92-180, eff. 7-1-02.)"; and
 
7 on page 27, line 4, by replacing "hearing impaired's" with
8 "deaf and hard of hearing's"; and
 
9 on page 27, lines 6, 9, 18, and 33, by replacing "interpreter
10 for the hearing impaired" each time it appears with
11 "interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing"; and
 
12 on page 27, lines 28 and 29, by replacing "a interpreter for
13 the hearing impaired" with "an interpreter for the deaf and
14 hard of hearing"; and
 
15 on page 28, by replacing lines 8 and 9 with the following:
 
16     "Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
17 2006.".
