1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2737
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2737, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing paragraph (3) of subsection (c) of Sec. 116-3 of
4 Section 5 with the following:
5         "(3) when forensic DNA testing is requested, and the
6     testing is to be performed on or after the effective date
7     of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly, the
8     forensic DNA testing shall be performed by an American
9     Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory
10     Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB) accredited laboratory or
11     an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
12     accredited laboratory, unless upon written motion and
13     after hearing arguments or evidence, or both, the court may
14     order the DNA testing be performed by a laboratory that is
15     not ASCLD/LAB or ISO accredited.".
