725 ILCS 207/20

    Amends the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act. Makes a technicalchange in a Section concerning the civil nature of proceedings.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act is
5 amended by changing Section 20 as follows:

6     (725 ILCS 207/20)
7     Sec. 20. Civil nature of proceedings. The~~The~~ proceedings
8 under this Act shall be civil in nature. The provisions of the
9 Civil Practice Law, and all existing and future amendments of
10 that Law shall apply to all proceedings hereunder except as
11 otherwise provided in this Act.
