| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Nannette Brolley
(nee | 4 |
| Hummel), longtime resident of Princeton and Waukegan, on | 5 |
| January 31, 2005; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born November 17, 1931 in Fort Madison, | 7 |
| Iowa; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Prior to her marriage, Nannette was a flight | 9 |
| attendant for Delta Airlines; she enjoyed traveling, playing | 10 |
| cards, lunches with the ladies, and playing with her | 11 |
| grandchildren; she will be remembered for her high energy | 12 |
| level, zest for living, and a terrific sense of humor; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Nannette Brolley is felt by all who | 14 |
| knew and loved her, especially her husband and partner of 50 | 15 |
| years, Jerome; her sons Mark (Janet) and William (Catherine); | 16 |
| her grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, Jack, Tracey, and Matthew; her | 17 |
| sisters-in-law, Barbara (Jack) Genster and Mary Ann (Jim) | 18 |
| McLain; her cousin, Mary Lou Fernetti; and a host of nieces and | 19 |
| nephews; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, She will be forever remembered in the thoughts, | 21 |
| prayers, and hearts of her family and friends as an extremely | 22 |
| compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; Nannette | 23 |
| maintained close friendships throughout her lifetime with | 24 |
| individuals from her home in Princeton and 50 years in | 25 |
| Waukegan; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 27 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that even as her death is | 28 |
| mourned, we give thanks for the blessing of Nannette Brolley's | 29 |
| life and extend our sincerest condolences to her family and | 30 |
| friends, whose grief we share; and be it further
|
