| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Irene McKinney of Waukegan | 4 |
| on October 30, 2004; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. McKinney was born March 19, 1910, in Grafton, | 6 |
| Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick and Kathryn (nee Bernitte) | 7 |
| Witte; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She had been a member of Holy Family Church in | 9 |
| North Chicago for many years; since 1987, she was a resident of | 10 |
| Lilac Ledge in Waukegan; she was a past member of the Altar | 11 |
| Rosary Society, Catholic Order of Foresters, and Royal | 12 |
| Neighbors of America; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Her wonderful sense of humor and eagerness to | 14 |
| share a good joke kept family and friends in stitches; her | 15 |
| faith was the cornerstone of her life; and
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her | 17 |
| husband of 59 years, Earl McKinney; her sister, Alice Fuller; | 18 |
| her brothers, Roy and Wallace Witte; and her grandchild, John | 19 |
| Paul McKinney; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Irene McKinney is felt by all who | 21 |
| knew and loved her, especially her sons, Jack (Mary Lou), | 22 |
| Daniel (Violet), Kenneth (Sheryl), and Gerald (Mary Ann); her | 23 |
| grandchildren, Jack Jr., Pamela, Jackie, Dora, Kenny, Randy, | 24 |
| Colleen, Suzette, Barbara, and Michelle; her | 25 |
| great-grandchildren, Shelby, James, Danny, P.J., Brandon, | 26 |
| Melinda, Heather, Brittany, Gina, Tia, Christopher, Michael, | 27 |
| Tim, and Gracie; and her great-great-grandchild, Courtney; | 28 |
| therefore, be it

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 2 |
| Irene McKinney and extend our sincerest condolences to her | 3 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
| 4 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 5 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest | 6 |
| sympathy.
