| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Eva Mae Goddard of Anna on | 4 |
| July 18, 2005; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born March 23, 1915, in Murphysboro, to | 6 |
| Curt and Alice Roberts Burns; she married Clyde Goddard on | 7 |
| April 12, 1936, in Anna; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Anna United Methodist | 9 |
| Church; she worked with her husband at Goddard's Seed and | 10 |
| Produce store for many years; she and her late husband had been | 11 |
| married for more than 50 years; she was a homemaker and was | 12 |
| devoted to her family; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her | 14 |
| husband; her sisters, Afton Burns Aldridge and Imogene Burns; | 15 |
| and her brother-in-law, Roy Goddard; and
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Eva Mae Goddard is felt by all who | 17 |
| knew and loved her, especially her sons, Jimmy Dean and wife | 18 |
| Edna Goddard and Jerry Lynn and wife Jeni Goddard; her | 19 |
| grandchildren, Jeff and wife Teresa Goddard, Mark and wife | 20 |
| Amber Goddard, Kelle O'Malley, Shannon Goddard, Ashley | 21 |
| Goddard, and Matthew Goddard; her great-grandchildren, | 22 |
| Lucretia and Lindsey Goddard, Jordan O'Malley, Dominic Nation, | 23 |
| Connor O'Malley, and Garrett Goddard; her nieces, Jane Bauer | 24 |
| and Judy Anderson; her nephew, Donald Goddard; her | 25 |
| sister-in-law, Naomi Goddard; her cousins, Eileen Wilson and | 26 |
| Genevieve Booth; and her other relatives and many friends; | 27 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 29 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most | 30 |
| sincere regret at the passing of Eva Mae Goddard and extend our |
