| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Margie Crane of Alton on | 4 |
| Sunday, August 28, 2005; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born April 22, 1921, in Grafton to James | 6 |
| and Zona (Powers) Larbey; on February 14, 1941, in Alton, she | 7 |
| married William P. "Bill" Crane; he preceded her in death on | 8 |
| August 5, 2003; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She and her husband had owned Alton Refrigeration | 10 |
| since 1952, where she served as secretary and treasurer; a | 11 |
| member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton, she was | 12 |
| a member of the church's Day Spring Women of Faith Bible study | 13 |
| group; she volunteered her time at Alton Memorial Hospital, | 14 |
| Main Street United Methodist Church, and also played the organ | 15 |
| for various churches in the area; and

| WHEREAS, The passing of Margie Crane has been deeply felt | 17 |
| by many, especially her daughter, Brenda Bryson and husband, | 18 |
| Michael; her sons, Bill Crane and wife, Carole Ann, and Dr. | 19 |
| James Crane and wife, Pamela; her grandchildren, Gary William | 20 |
| Crane and wife, Angie, John Christopher Crane and wife, Teresa, | 21 |
| James L. Crane and wife, Diana, Nancy Crane, Gary Deck and | 22 |
| wife, Carla, and Dan Deck; her great-grandchildren, Garrett | 23 |
| Deck, Maddison Crane, Mia Crane, Macy Crane, and Kaitlyn Crane; | 24 |
| and her nieces, Mary Beth Sumner and Sandy Jacobs; therefore, | 25 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 27 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 28 |
| Margie Crane, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | 29 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 30 |
| further
