| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Lois L. Honaker of Alton | 4 |
| on November 21, 2005; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Honaker was born June 21, 1961, the daughter | 6 |
| of the late Buford R. and Geneva Bernice (Elder) Clarke Jr.; | 7 |
| she married Steven H. Honaker on August 4, 1984, in Alton; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She had owned and operated Steve's Service Inc. in | 9 |
| Alton with her husband, where she served as vice president; and
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, A two-time survivor of cancer, Mrs. Honaker was | 11 |
| involved in fundraising efforts for the American Cancer | 12 |
| Society, including the Relay for Life; she enjoyed bowling, | 13 |
| animals, and spending quality time with family and friends; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She had a giving heart and derived much enjoyment | 15 |
| from making and giving gifts to all; she will always be | 16 |
| remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and | 17 |
| friend to many; and
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her | 19 |
| brothers, Robert Alan Conley and Charles Conley; her | 20 |
| grandparents, Willard and Goldie Elder; her uncles, Jim Bowling | 21 |
| and Darrell Clarke; and her aunt, Vera Brooks; and
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Lois Honaker is felt by all who | 23 |
| knew and loved her, especially her husband of 21 years, Steven; | 24 |
| her sons, Steven H. Honaker II and Joseph E. Honaker; her | 25 |
| sister, Goldie B. Clarke; her brother, Buford R. "Bud" Clarke | 26 |
| III; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Eloise | 27 |
| Honaker; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clifford | 28 |
| Honaker, John and Barb Brumley, Jack and Wanda Vahle, and Susan | 29 |
| Conley; her nieces and nephews; her other extended family, |

| including Chris and Mary Emde and their three children; and her | 2 |
| cherished pets of five dogs, four cats, and two birds; | 3 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 5 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 |
| Lois Honaker and extend our sincerest condolences to her | 7 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
| 8 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest | 10 |
| sympathy.
