| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Leroy William Siegel of | 4 |
| Collinsville on Sunday, August 6, 2006; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on April 13, 1927, in Troy to John and | 6 |
| Rose (Loyet) Siegel; he married the former Mary Catherine | 7 |
| Spalding on May 7, 1949; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Siegel retired from the Illinois Power plant | 9 |
| in Wood River after 39 years of service and was a member of | 10 |
| IBEW Local 51; he was a third-degree knight with the | 11 |
| Collinsville Knights of Columbus 1712 and was involved with | 12 |
| Thursday bingo; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, A past member and usher at the SS. Peter and Paul | 14 |
| Catholic Church in Collinsville, he was a member of the parents | 15 |
| club and SS. Peter and Paul Booster Club; he also had been a | 16 |
| Khoury League baseball coach; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Siegel was a loving husband, father, and | 18 |
| grandfather and will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary | 19 |
| Catherine; his sons, David Siegel, Dan Siegel, Tom Siegel, John | 20 |
| Siegel, and Mike Siegel and his wife, Becky; his grandchildren, | 21 |
| Scott, Tony, Ryan, Tasha, and Matthew; his sister, Norma Seipp, | 22 |
| and her husband, Dick; his brother, Darwin Siegel, and his | 23 |
| wife, Mary H.; and his numerous nieces and nephews; he was | 24 |
| preceded in death by his parents and his sister and | 25 |
| brother-in-law, Dorothy and Douglas Metz; therefore, be it
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 27 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 28 |
| Leroy William Siegel, and we extend our sincere condolences to | 29 |
| his family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 30 |
| it further
