AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 38

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 38 as follows:

on page 1, immediately below line 23, by inserting the following:

"(a-5) For purposes of this Section, gross disobedience and gross misconduct may include communications by electronic means, including communication by use of an Internet website, made by the pupil with the intent to harm, threaten, harass, intimidate, humiliate, or bully another student, a school administrator, a faculty member, other school-related personnel, or another person or persons connected to the school community if the communication is disruptive to the educational process. Intent may be inferred from the nature, means, content, and context of the communication.".
