AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 315

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 315, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 2, as follows:

on page 133, by replacing lines 21 through 24 with the following: "disabled person whose annual household income is less than the income eligibility limitation, as defined in subsection (a-5) $14,000 for grant years before the 1998 grant year, less than $16,000 for the 1998 and 1999 grant years, and less than (i) $21,218 for a household containing one person, (ii) $28,480 for"; and

on page 134, by replacing lines 1 through 3 with the following: "a household containing 2 persons, or (iii) $35,740 for a household containing 3 or more persons for the 2000 grant year and thereafter and whose household is liable for payment of"; and

on page 134, immediately below line 14, by inserting the following:

"(a-5) Income eligibility limitation. For purposes of this Section, "income eligibility limitation" means an amount:

(i) for grant years before the 1998 grant year, less than $14,000;

(ii) for the 1998 and 1999 grant year, less than $16,000;

(iii) for grant years 2000 through 2007:

(A) less than $21,218 for a household containing one person;

(B) less than $28,480 for a household containing 2 persons; or

(C) less than $35,740 for a household containing 3 or more persons; or

(iv) for grant years 2008 and thereafter:

(A) less than $22,218 for a household containing one person;

(B) less than $29,480 for a household containing 2 persons; or

(C) less than $36,740 for a household containing 3 or more persons."; and

on page 137, by replacing lines 7 through 13 with the following: "have a maximum household income of less than the income eligibility limitation, as defined in subsection (a-5) $14,000 for grant years before the 1998 grant year, less than $16,000 for the 1998 and 1999 grant years, and less than (i) $21,218 for a household containing one person, (ii) $28,480 for a household containing 2 persons, or (iii) $35,740 for a household containing 3 more persons for the 2000 grant year and thereafter. In addition, each eligible person must (1) obtain".
