MOTION

 
2     I move to accept the specific recommendations of the
3 Governor as to House Bill 656 in manner and form as follows:
4
AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 656
5
IN ACCEPTANCE OF GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS
6     Amend House Bill 656 on page 14, line 16, after "2-15", by
7 inserting "and by adding Section 2-15.2"; and
 
8 on page 30, below line 16, by inserting the following:
 
9     "(30 ILCS 740/2-15.2 new)
10     Sec. 2-15.2. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no
11 later than 60 days following the effective date of this
12 amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route
13 public transportation services provided by, or under grant or
14 purchase of service contracts of, every participant, as defined
15 in Section 2-2.02 (1)(a), shall be provided without charge to
16 all senior citizen residents of the participant aged 65 and
17 older, under such conditions as shall be prescribed by the
18 participant."; and
 
19 on page 60, line 3, by replacing "12c and 50" with "12c, 50,
20 and 51"; and
 
21 on page 80, below line 3, by inserting the following:

1     "(70 ILCS 3605/51 new)
2     Sec. 51. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no later
3 than 60 days following the effective date of this amendatory
4 Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route public
5 transportation services provided by, or under grant or purchase
6 of service contracts of, the Board shall be provided without
7 charge to all senior citizens of the Metropolitan Region (as
8 such term is defined in 70 ILCS 3615/1.03) aged 65 and older,
9 under such conditions as shall be prescribed by the Board.
10     Section 16. The Local Mass Transit District Act is amended
11 by adding Section 8.6 as follows:
 
12     (70 ILCS 3610/8.6 new)
13     Sec. 8.6. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no later
14 than 60 days following the effective date of this amendatory
15 Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route public
16 transportation services provided by, or under grant or purchase
17 of service contracts of, every District shall be provided
18 without charge to all senior citizens of the District aged 65
19 and older, under such conditions as shall be prescribed by the
20 District."; and
 
21 on page 80, line 10, after "2.31," by inserting "3A.15,
22 3B.14,"; and

1 on page 128, below line 11, by inserting the following:
 
2     "(70 ILCS 3615/3A.15 new)
3     Sec. 3A.15. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no
4 later than 60 days following the effective date of this
5 amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route
6 public transportation services provided by, or under grant or
7 purchase of service contracts of, the Suburban Bus Board shall
8 be provided without charge to all senior citizens of the
9 Metropolitan Region aged 65 and older, under such conditions as
10 shall be prescribed by the Suburban Bus Board."; and
 
11 on page 148, below line 12, by inserting the following:
 
12     "(70 ILCS 3615/3B.14 new)
13     Sec. 3B.14. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no
14 later than 60 days following the effective date of this
15 amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route
16 public transportation services provided by, or under grant or
17 purchase of service contracts of, the Commuter Rail Board shall
18 be provided without charge to all senior citizens of the
19 Metropolitan Region aged 65 and older, under such conditions as
20 shall be prescribed by the Commuter Rail Board.".
