SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3953/25 new

Amends the Government Buildings Energy Cost Reduction Act of 1991. Provides that all buildings owned or operated by the State shall use fluorescent, rather than incandescent, light bulbs.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Government Buildings Energy Cost Reduction Act of 1991 is amended by adding Section 25 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3953/25 new)

Sec. 25. Fluorescent lighting in State buildings. In order to reduce energy consumption, all buildings owned or operated by the State shall use fluorescent, rather than incandescent, light bulbs.
