    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Cannabis and Controlled Substances Tort 
5
Claims Act is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:

    Sec. 7. The
The prosecuting attorney of any government or 
8
governmental
subdivision or agency may move for a stay of any 
9
proceeding brought under
this Act, to include all discovery, 
10
pending the completion of an
investigation or prosecution of a 
11
case related to the subject matter of a
suit brought under this 
12
Act.
