HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, Gerald R. Glaub received his B.S. in 
3
Communications from the University of Illinois; and

 
4
    WHEREAS, Jerry came to the Illinois Association of School 
5
Boards in 1969 as Director of Publications; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, While at the IASB, Jerry improved the content, 
7
visual appeal, and breadth of coverage of all of its 
8
publications; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Jerry was instrumental in the upgrading of 
10
technology in the IASB office; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Jerry authored, co-authored, and edited numerous 
12
books; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Jerry became an authority on education and school 
14
management at both the State and Federal levels; and
 
15
    WHEREAS, WHEREAS, Jerry was an avid basketball player, 
16
bowler, and fisherman; therefore, be it

 
17
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

congratulate Gerald R. Glaub on his retirement from the 
2
Illinois Association of School Boards after 38 years of service 
3
and wish him good health and happiness in his retirement; and

be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to Gerald R. Glaub as a symbol of our esteem and 
7
respect.
