AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2303

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2303, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 2, on page 2, line 7, by replacing "The" with "Except as otherwise provided herein, the"; and

on page 2, line 9, by changing "that" to "the"; and

on page 2, line 10, before the period, by inserting the following: "when a person is being held by a county, another arresting agency, the Department of Juvenile Justice, or the Department of Corrections"; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 13 and 14 with the following: "Department shall seek federal financial participation, including a request for a waiver of federal law and regulations as necessary. If the request for a waiver is approved, the Department shall cooperate with the"; and

on page 2, line 16, by replacing "county, for" with "county or other arresting agency, for reimbursement of".
