1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 927
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 927 as follows:

3 on page 3, line 9, after "plan.", by inserting "Individuals
4 unable to participate in these incentives due to an adverse
5 health factor shall not be penalized based upon an adverse
6 health status."; and

7 on page 3, immediately below line 15, by inserting the
8 following:
9 "For the purposes of this Section, "reasonably designed
10 program" means a program of wellness coverage that has a
11 reasonable chance of improving health or preventing disease; is
12 not overly burdensome; does not discriminate based upon factors
13 of health; and is not otherwise contrary to law."; and

14 on page 4, by replacing lines 18 through 26 with the following:
15 "reduction established under this Section and included in the

1 policy or certificate does not violate Section 151 of this
2 Code.".
